FST Logistics Takes on the Community Cup

The Community Cup, hosted by the Greater Columbus Sports Commission, is a one-day athletic challenge that brings companies of all sizes across Columbus together in support of The Columbus Foundation, Mid-Ohio Food Collective, and Ruling Our Experience (ROX). Each of these charities work to support individuals and families in the Columbus area.

With a mission to change the direction of our communities, we knew we wanted to be a part of this event. This commitment led us to sponsor the dodgeball event and donate a truckload of food to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.

The day began with a 5K that several of our owners crushed, being the first runner in their age group to cross the finish line. They supported each other throughout the race by running with the injured and circling back to ensure no owner was left behind. The one-mile walk followed. With everyone coming together, you could not miss us in our bright green tie-dye shirts. Our HR team kept the energy level high, ensuring the music never stopped.

With 14 different events, there was something for everyone, and many owners learned a new sport. Clay Stanger, the Vice President of Transportation, led his team to third place in lacrosse which was a feat in and of itself, considering that no one on the team had ever played lacrosse. Brad Wright, the Chief Revenue Office and Vice President of Sales and Brokerage Services, and his team dominated the dodgeball court taking first place over Ohio State Athletics!

We wrapped up the day with a dance party and hanging out under the tent while we waited for the results to be calculated. We connected with companies around us, leading the charge into closing ceremonies, where we took second place overall.
